Every month CMJ sends out a mixtape, which I almost always listen to and almost always forget about immediately. April’s mix, however, held a hidden gem in the form of Canadian band Dead Ghosts — their “Roky Said” segues from crisp, precise guitar to dirgey “House of the Rising Sun” organ and back again seamlessly. Excited to hear more from these gentlemen.
