At long last, terrifying/awesome Swedish duo The Knife are following up 2006’s inimitable Silent ShoutShaking the Habitual is due in April. The new single “Full of Fire” may scare people off with its 9-minute runtime, but Knife-lovers will find their classic sound intact: battering-ram beats, pitchshifted vocals and lyrics that sound kinda-sorta badly translated. All part of their charm.

The song came complete with a video release that doesn’t have much of a narrative thread (that I could follow, anyway), but does include public urination, leather, and the earnest smashing of wineglasses, if you’re into that sort of thing. Personally, I prefer to imagine this as the soundtrack to a horror film chase scene, just like everything else The Knife has ever made.

Here’s some more Silent Shout-era Knife, just in case you’ve never heard it (gasp).
