I remember being wowed that this song was even played on FM radio, because it was SO HEAVY. In retrospect, it actually seems almost entirely wholesome–good, clean fun.

Following some grainy, mildly creepy footage of delighted children at amusement parks, we’re plunged into the high-contrast, leather-couchy, strobelit universe of WZ — and back again. I assume the juxtaposition is supposed to be shocking, but as far as I can tell, Zombie and co. are just friendly metal folk, headbanging in a garage on a Saturday afternoon. So what if there’s a cemetery shot here and there? At least they’re not sacrificing animals, Mom. GOD.

You’ll be pleased to learn that although WZ disbanded in 1998, our old friend Zombie is still cranking out horror films (though I can make no judgment as to their quality, having seen nary a one) — his next is due out in 2012.
